This book is dedicated to the preservation of the Desert Tortoise.
The Desert Tortoise is a threatened species under the California State Endangered Species Act of 1989 and the Federal Endangered Species Act of 1990.
The population of the Desert Tortoise in the Mojave Desert has gone down 90 percent since 1980. The status of the Desert Tortoise is a bellwether for the health of our deserts.
This book is also dedicated to our planet and to all of us who dwell upon it.
